"No AI used"

Risk to the writer: Manageable

The wording

"The Supplier warrants that no artificial intelligence tools were used in the creation of the Deliverables."

Why it is a problem

Defensible in principle, because it is a promise about your behaviour rather than a tool's guess. The trap is definitional: does it cover spellcheck, grammar tools, a search engine, or autocomplete? Left undefined, you cannot know whether you have complied.

How to fix it

Define AI narrowly and explicitly, ideally naming what is permitted. Almost every writer uses something that a broad reading would capture.

Suggested replacement

"For the purposes of this clause, AI means a generative model used to draft, rewrite or substantially compose text. It does not include spelling and grammar checking, reference management, search, or the use of templates. Supplier warrants that no AI so defined was used to compose the Deliverables."
